We are telling the story of the Chesapeake through the prism of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum and the surrounding community. Our film uses a balance of live action and archival footage to capture this unique and enduring culture. Some of these are tales of triumph and hope in the face of adversity. The Chesapeake Bay has a storied past and some of the most stunning coastline in America. As Jay Fleming captured in his photographs, there are stunning locations to explore from Tangier Island to Smith Island and so much more. But what so many people don’t know about are the stories buried beneath the depths of sea.
