“Savage Mountain.” It is the infamous nickname K2 was given in 1953. A climb that kills one out of every four that summit, K2 is widely considered by expert mountaineers to be the most dangerous mountain in the world.

In 2022, in search of spiritual healing and further enlightenment, renowned climber and activist, Wasfia Nazreen, set out to summit the peak. She wasn’t alone. Some from the same camera team that captured the breathtaking documentary 14 PEAKS were there to capture footage of the magnificent and brutal climb.

And now, by partnering with famed producer Michael Sugar’s Sugar23, they aim to create a documentary that chronicles an epic adventure across South Asia; one that combines vibrant, monumental visuals with a cerebral and poetic study of one woman’s spiritual journey reconciling the ills of humanity with enlightenment and her faith in the world.
